After a successful collaboration in AI, two amazing tech ecosystems in Berlin (Germany) and Pittsburgh (PA, USA) meet again virtually to discover better Robotic scenes in both cities.
Berlin inspires - as a creative metropolis, as a startup hub and as innovative technology and science location. The German capital region contains a vibrant robotic ecosystem including over 60 companies that own technologies with a focus on the Care industry, Industrial robotics & Automation, Software & Machine Learning. The businesses benefit from 4 regional universities and over 70 non-university research institutions.”
Pittsburgh is claiming its transformation into the robotics capital of the world. The Pittsburgh Robotics Network estimates that the region's robotics cluster supports 7,000 jobs, and more than 45,000 technology workers.
Webinar started with overview of both ecosystems. Jens Woelki Manager Innovation | Manufacturing Industries at Berlin Partner for Business and Technology introduced robotics scene in Berlin, Ryan O'Shea from Pittsburgh Robotics Network scene in Pittsburgh.
Second part of the webinar concentrated on Robotics through research institute perspective with input from:
Matt Rosenberger, Membership Development, ARM Institute (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) and Oliver Heimann, Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology.
To have complete overview of the ecosystems third part was filled in with pitches of the robotics companies:
• Matthias Krinke, Pi4 Robotics (Berlin)
• John Mc Elligott, York Exponential
• Prof. Jens Lambrecht, Gestalt Robotics (Berlin)
• Dipan PAL Voaige INC
